๐Ÿšš 17/06/2023 Life Update ๐Ÿšš

Good evening angels! ๐ŸŒธ Not going to lie I'm coming into this feeling really frustrated. Last month I started doing Uber deliveries and while it is nice to have a side income, it's far from being reliable and only "convenient" since I'm currently in between jobs. I have besties who delivered beforehand so I had some knowledge of what to expect but nothing could have prepared me for the terrible support Uber offers.

So far I've had two clients go cold on me just as I approached their apartment buildings. They failed to answer any of my texts and calls which is a major drawback since the apartment buildings in their respective areas either need a code to bypass a gate or one to enter the building. I tried to call Uber support and the automatic voice message informed me that they could not assist me and to instead try to inform them of the situation via the help menu on the app yet none of the issues I was facing appeared on the designated help menu. When I finally got ahold of an agent, I was immediately told I would be redirected to another person but I was ghosted instead.
Uber does give you the opportunity to cancel the delivery but the first time I did so, I was never paid like promised despite having already haven driven over twenty minutes from the restaurant to my destination and was then stuck with five orders of shrimp fried rice. Fortunately, I have people whom I can share meals with to avoid throwing out so much edible food ๐Ÿ˜ต

Similarly this morning I was tasked to deliver groceries to a client, and once I arrived at their gated community apartment they stopped sending me messages. They left a delivery note sharing an additional phone number where they could be reached and upon calling a lady picked up and notified me she didn't even know the client ๐Ÿ˜ญ Despite the previous attempt at calling for help failed I still tried again and while I was able to have a thorough conversation with a rep this time, he ended the chat letting me know that an e-mail would be sent shortly with instructions on what to do next and that e-mail never made its way into my mailbox!

When the restaurant and the client are both open to communication a lot of magic happens. The restaurant wants to sell food, the client wants it delivered and here I am wanting to do just that. Hiccups are bound to happen and thats fine but for some reason, Uber is committed to being neglectful. I never believed the telltale that "capitalism breeds innovation" and much less now after being slapped in the face by a company worth 88.08 billion USD at the time that I'm typing this. It's so aggravating because I know the company doesn't care and is taking advantage of people like me who need the extra cash to have some breathing space in between checks.

Not sure how to end this post ๐Ÿ˜– I always feel a tad guilty in airing out my grievances but I did create this space to do whatever I wanted so I'm going to get over it and publish this anyway. Thanks again for visiting my blog! ๐Ÿ’“ I hope everyone has a wonderful night and has the sweetest dreams ๐ŸŒ™๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿ’ซ June Photo Dump Diary ๐Ÿ’ซ

Good evening angels! ๐Ÿ’ I can't believe it's been over a month since I last updated ๐Ÿ˜– When I created this blog I expected to post way more frequently but haven't managed to do so yet ๐Ÿ˜” I have two incomplete posts collecting dust in my drafts so I'll try to get those done sooner rather than later.

Anyways, I recently started keeping up with Molly Soda again and in doing so I learned she has another blog. For those who missed out, Molly Soda is a digital performance artist who became extremely popular on Tumblr around the early 2010s. I was a huge fan of hers as a teenager, my favorite project from her was a short series titled Tween Dreams that follows a trio of best friends navigating middle school in 2001. In her most recent blog update, she shares some files she's saved on her laptop and how they reflect what's kept her intrigued and her current creative process. Molly Soda is a wonderful artist and has used this concept as a creative project that can be viewed here. Like always, she's managed to influence me so I'll be doing the same today, albeit in a much more casual manner. While "photo dumps" have become very popular on other social media sites like Twitter and Instagram, they are limited by the number of photos and/or characters a user can input. Plus I have the tendency of deleting both my Twitter and Instagram every few years and have come to regret losing some of the posts that contained little screenshots of specific moments in my life. But now I have this blog so why not preserve them here? ๐Ÿคญ

I'm currently in the process of organizing my computer files and due to the limited hardware, I have to delete them even if I do cherish and appreciate them.

The other day I went for a walk and had the opportunity to appreciate the flamboyรกns that are blooming. Last year I moved out of Miami and didn't have the pleasure to see them around my neighborhood so it's such a delight to be able to enjoy their shade again.

I love a silly license plate. This one was even funnier to encounter since the asshole cut us off!

I /was/ going to review this bubble tea shop that opened semi-recently in an area I kinda frequent but I totally forgot to do so. If I'm remembering correctly, this is the Brown Sugar Boba Tea with pudding. A staff member recommended the pudding and I was very suggestible at that moment so I tried it and luckily it wasn't too sweet.

I bought a whiteboard for my parents so they could write down important reminders. My dad is ungovernable.

I had a lot of fun in creating this post so maybe they'll be a common occurrence and it's perfect because part of why I don't update is because I feel like I don't know what I want to share. Thanks for sticking around! I hope everyone has a safe night and sweet dreams ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿ’ž Kay byeeeeee
