⚜️ Bye-bye 2023, Happy New Year! ⚜️

Hello everyone! 🎉 Happy New Year and happy first anniversary to my blog!! 🎈 May this new year bring gentleness and prosperity to all of us 🥂As usual, I'm incredibly late to posting, but here I am now three weeks later oops (•́ε•̀٥_)

The holiday break went by unbelievably fast but it was fun! I ate great meals and was treated to so many drinks! I felt like I was living my The Night is Short, Walk on Girl fantasy✨
It was a wonderful, safe night that ended with a fulfilling dinner and an apple pie I made but I didn't have time to taste it for myself 😖
The best Christmas present was the memories we made along the way! 💖
I had other friends come back to town and it resulted in them introducing me to more new friends 💫A few of us went to a bar n' restaurant near downtown that served a delicious pineapple rum. I was warned it would be strong but didn't listen since I've been an adult for a while now and ended up drunk for the first time in a long time oops 😓
Three rums and half a serving of banana pudding later ✌

On New Year's Eve, I went to see The Nutcracker with another-another friend which was especially exciting since it was her first time seeing a ballet! This performance was geared more towards children than the previous showing I had attended earlier in December. More gags were implemented throughout the show and more young dancers were on stage which was heartwarming to see.
I couldn't resist the opportunity to add one more Nutcracker to my collection. I've always been fond of them ⭐
After the ballet, I rushed home to have dinner with my parents before going to a New Year's/Birthday party. We danced, gossiped, and talked about Saltburn before eating our grapes under the table and singing to the birthday girl. That night was unusually cold and it ended with all of us talking around a bonfire.
For New Year's, a handful of us headed south to spend the rest of the day at a botanical park with the birthday girl and it was surprisingly lively! I hadn't been able to go back in years so it was such a treat to be surrounded by such greenery. Because of work, I'm stuck indoors so being back in nature uplifted my spirits tremendously.
The day ended with guarapo and a pleasant sunset ☀️
I hope you all had peaceful and cheerful holiday celebrations as well! Thanks again for visiting my blog ✌See you soon!! ٩(^ᴗ^)۶ 🌻
