★ Stay In Bed ★

Hello again angels! It's been raining nonstop since Friday and it's literally put a damper on all the beach and pool plans I was looking forward to! I napped all day with my cats while it poured outside, only waking up to snack and do the laundry along with other little chores. I didn't lose myself in the cabin fever though thanks to my friends keeping in touch with me through FaceTime  I know I should think positively and instead focus on how much I caught up on sleep, but I hate being in the house all day! It doesn't help that I’ve spent the majority of today indoors too. Thank God I was able to get my nails done in the afternoon and be treated to an ice cream cone before the storms continued but I was hoping to have a more exciting Sunday;;

To cheer myself up I started watching the English Dub for Super Gals, a slice-of-life anime from the early 2000s that follows MC, Ran Kotobuki and her adventures as the most popular gal in Shibuya. I preferred watching Magical Girl series like Sailor Moon or Shugo Chara as a kid so I missed out on this entry completely. I'm three episodes in and noticed that the show earnestly tries to tell its intended audience of young teenage girls about potential dangers or situations they may encounter like how unsafe escorting is for young girls, how they can be manipulated and love-bombed by their boyfriends/crushes, and so on. Besides the terrible common tropes of the era that were prevalent when the anime aired, like the inappropriate romantic age gaps shared between two characters or the horrible use of derogatory slurs in the English dub, the show is alright for what it is. 

Tomorrow I have plans to catch up with friends over brunch and I'm so excited! They want to try out this ramen place I've never heard of, I hope it's good. That's it for now, I hope everyone can enjoy the rest of their Labor Day weekend despite the weather. Thanks for reading! See you next time!

★ Small Function, Big Smile ★

Good morning angels!  I hope you all are enjoying a wonderful weekend! 

Last night my best friend and I went to a Sanrio-themed rave! I've never been to one before and was really excited to dress up with her as Kiki and Lala. It was so much fun to see everyone in costume and how creative people are in representing their favorite characters

Little Twin Stars, Kiki and Lala are from the Omoiyari Star and travel to Earth to bring happiness and joy to everyone they meet in hopes of shining brightly like their celestial parents.
They’re so stinkin’ cute! (๑´• .̫ •ू`๑)

You can’t really notice the blue eyeshadow here but this is my attempt at trying to represent Kiki, the younger twin. 

You wouldn’t believe who showed up!

Funny enough, we were the only two dressed up as Twin Stars which was fun because it made us stand out and we got so many compliments for it but I'm also sad that they're not more popular. Kiki and Lala are my favorite Sanrio characters, I’m sad there's barely any merch of them anywhere!

★ Meeting Bun Bun ★

Good morning angels! 

One of my coworkers got a rabbit as their classroom pet and I got the chance to hang out with him for a bit after dismissal the other day! 

Met Bunny!

I was surprised how friendly he was! The other bunnies I’ve met are very shy but Bunny had no problem in me carrying him and even leapt to be on my shoulder. 

I’m so happy I can play with him from now on! 

I’ve always wanted a rabbit but never had the chance to adopt one.

★ Bumble Bee ★

Hi hi again lovelies  I hope you're all enjoying your weekend! I can't believe we're already close to the middle of August!

The other day I was able to attend a ceramic workshop where we made Bumble Bee Hive Honey Pot! I hadn't been able to sculpt in years, and I feel so lucky that I was able to do so in a cozy and inviting environment

It was wonderful to be in kind company! I can't wait to see what all of our jars will look like 💫

I struggled a bit and noticed that I over-manipulated the clay towards the end to the point where it started to crack from the lack of moisture  The teacher said it'll be fine and we'll ultimately know after it's fired. Looking forward to painting my jar after it's glazed!

Hello again Beach Bunnies! A small announcement on how I deactivated my Twitter and Instagram indefinitely. I'm going through a major and positive transition period and want to keep myself focused. I'll continue to update this blog as much as I can and have some entries scheduled to upload automatically throughout the next few weeks. ★ Summer Heat ★

Hi hi again beach bunnies! The other day I was able to see one of my best friends after work! We met up at a boba shop and tried the sea salt-flavored teas and it was delicious! I got the Jasmine Green Crema, totally recommend it!

After walking around downtown we met up with my friend's friend who she wanted me to meet. We went to a dive bar by the sea and it had the loveliest view with the cheapest drinks!  The only downside is that they don't serve meals or snacks which led to us to bar-hop to another place that did 💢

Despite this other place serving food, it was ridiculous. I paid fifteen dollars for an unimpressive-sized burger that didn't come with fries. The drinks weren't cheap either. Next time I'll plan accordingly @_@
